This site is built to collect as little as possible. It has no forms, no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party scripts. This page says plainly what that leaves.
Who we are
Guardian Research LLC ("Guardian", "we", "us") is a limited liability company organised in Utah and based in Lehi, Utah, United States. You can reach us at matthew@guardianresearch.io.
What the site collects
Nothing that you type, because there is nowhere to type. The site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising, social, or tracking scripts, so it does not profile you, follow you across sites, or build an audience list. Fonts and styles are served from this domain rather than from a third-party network, so visiting the site does not disclose your visit to anyone else.
Our hosting provider records ordinary server logs when a page is served: the requesting IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and your browser's user-agent string. Those logs exist to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify visitors and we do not combine them with anything else.
Email you send us
If you write to matthew@guardianresearch.io, we receive your message, your address, and whatever you choose to include. We use it to answer you and we keep the correspondence as a business record. We do not add you to a mailing list from it and we do not sell, rent, or share it.
Who handles the data
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which serves the pages and keeps the server logs described above. Email is handled by Google Workspace. Both act as service providers to us under their own terms and security practices. No other processor touches this site.
Why we may process it, and for how long
Where a legal basis is required, ours is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website and in answering correspondence addressed to us. Server logs are retained by the host for a short operational period. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it remains a useful business record and then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy, to object to or restrict processing, and to be free from discrimination for exercising any of those rights. Write to matthew@guardianresearch.io and we will answer within the time the applicable law allows. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do no targeted advertising, so there is nothing for you to opt out of. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
Children
The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it.
